Enrique Garcia-Valenzuela, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Garcia-Valenzuela has been a practicing ophthalmologist specializing in retina, vitreous and macular eye diseases since 2001. His special interests are macular degeneration diseases, uveitis, ocular melanomas, diabetic retinopathy, repair of detachments, retinopathy of prematurity, and surgery to repair macular holes and macular puckers.
Dr. Garcia-Valenzula has a strong personal interest in Retina research, has written many scientific publications, given many presentations, and has been the Primary Investigator in numerous clinical trials. He is currently on the teaching staff at the University of Illinois where he is an assistant clinical professor.
