Dr. Wyhinny has performed retina, vitreous, and macular surgeries for over 30 years. He is on the teaching staff at Rush University where he is an assistant professor, and also the University of Illinois where he is an assistant clinical professor.

His special interests include macular degeneration, retinal detachment repair, and surgery for premacular gliosis and macular holes. He has performed some of the original research on the effects of laser photocoagulation on the retina.

Office procedures include: laser photocoagulation, cryopexy of the retina, fluorescein angiography, ultrasound, ocular coherence tomography, and therapeutic drug injections for various retinal vascular diseases.
